This Smoothie is literally awash with health

Brewing Tit Bits

Use any good freshly made juice or water as base for the smoothie.

This recipe uses fresh orange juice.

If the smoothie tastes a bit “tart” for your liking you can add a bit of honey to “brighten up” the taste.

Also fresh berries taste better than the frozen variety.

So, get fresh berries if you can.

If you are something of a health freak and would like to make the smoothie even more powerful add a green leafy vegetable.

You will get more vitamin C, more micronutrients, more antioxidants, more fiber and more iron.

You’d get chlorophyll too…a powerful detoxifier.

Broccoli, spinach or kale will work fine. Just sprinkle in a little and blend

The only problem is that the smoothie will lose it’s deep red mesmerizing color. But the health benefits will be greater.

And you can add hemp hearts, chia seeds or flax seeds if you want more protein and healthy fats or want to suppress appetite more between meals.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ¾ cup frozen raspberries
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 kiwi fruits peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup orange juice
Instructions
  1. Place frozen berries in blender and allow them thaw for about 10 minutes.
  2. Add the kiwifruit and the orange juice and blend on high until smooth.
  3. Top with more kiwi or berries if desired.
