And as you know berries are rich in healthy carbs that keep you fueled for hours and contain fiber that helps keep the hunger down.
It is also a great way to get a quick burst of health into your body at the beginning of the day because of all the antioxidants and minerals that berries flood into your body.
It is just a great morning tonic!

Brewing Tit Bits
Use freshly made orange juice as your base and low fat vanilla yogurt ( preferably Greek to keep the fat down ) for added flavor and more enjoyment.
You can buy chopped frozen berries from the frozen section of your local grocery store to make things super easy and super quick.
Or if you prefer you can buy fresh berries and use ice cubes to chill the drink.
Simply load all ingredients into your blender starting from the softest…the orange juice at the bottom, to the hardest…berries at the top.
Then blend the layers till smooth.
This makes things a little easier for your blender.
- 2 cups mixed fresh or frozen berries
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Place all ingredients into blender (liquid ingredients first).
- Blend on high for 2 minutes or until smooth. Scrap down sides and blend for another 30 seconds.
- Serve and enjoy!
Store leftover smoothie covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days
